What Are Two Types Of Traditional Floorings 

The persistent covering of a floor is flooring. Solid Hardwood Flooring and Parquet Flooring (พื้น ปาเก้, which is the term in Thai) are the two types of traditional floorings.

Solid Hardwood Flooring

The composition of a solid piece of natural wood with a low resistance to scratches and moisture is referred to as solid hardwood flooring (ไม้ จริง, term in Thai) which is made up of hardwood species that doesn’t contain any harsh components. It bears an 8-millimeter wear layer that will last hundreds of years. The Entire piece is milled from one piece of wood and the tone of the groove is also created. It can be recycled and refinished. Its resale value is excellent. Solid hardwood flooring can be installed in any type of room. During its use, it can be repaired effortlessly by sanding and staining process. 

Expansion of solid hardwood takes place in a hot climate as the moisture is added and contraction in a cold climate as the moisture is removed. As the temperature and humidity change, gaps will be formed between the boards. It is expensive because it is real hardwood and adds value to the homebuyers as the value of wood increases over time so it will never go out of style. High maintenance is required. Hardwood flooring cannot be installed in the basements, bathrooms, or laundry rooms. 

Parquet Flooring

Parquet flooring is a traditional and attractive flooring, where the boards are laid up in different patterns and directions with pieces of hardwood covered and fitted in a decorative pattern. That includes mosaic, parquet bamboo, and solid parquet. It gives a classy appearance. As this flooring is incredibly durable with various patterns and designs it is used in high schools, institutions, etc. They are easy to clean with a light vacuum, so they are simple to maintain. one of the first places where parquet is used is Versailles. Mimicking the patterns of stone marquetry flooring with the parquet is the idea of this flooring. 

The herringbone pattern is one of the most popular parquets which makes anything look elevated. The blocks of the herringbone pattern are in the V-shape format. The most identifiable pattern is the five-bar pattern. Depending on the patterns it is affordable and can be refinished. A pattern with criss-cross and square shape is a star pattern where the larger design is ended up than the original design. It gives an idiosyncratic look in the conference halls. Moisture-resistant parquets are suitable in bathrooms and kitchens and are anti-allergic.
